Meet The Speaker: Netta Bondy
As part of our preparations for YGLF 2019 Code Camp (it's almost here!) we're excited to share with you another interview, in the series of interviews, with this year's amazing speakers. Hear their stories and their professional insights. This time we're with Netta Bondy (@_bondit_)

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Netta, I'm a senior front end engineer at Tikal, and the co-founder of Baot, which is Israel's largest community of women in R&D. In my first career I worked in marketing, and made the switch to development when I created my own startup and needed to build the MVP. To this day I am not sure if it happened by accident or through fate but I am grateful it did, because I am passionate about coding more than anything else I've ever done.
Q: Who is your favourite tech thought leader and why?
I don't have an answer to that. I like to listen / read a lot of people and I believe you can take something from everyone, but I also want to be careful about not taking anyone's word as gospel.
Q: What advice would you give yourself at the outset of your career?
Believing you can do something doesn't make you cocky, and it won't instantly make it true either. But constantly doubting yourself makes it a lot more difficult to put in the hard work you need to in order to actually make it true one day.
Q: What will you teach us at YGLF 2019: Code Camp?
I hope to give people some insight into what Functional Reactive Programming is, and why it's worthwhile (and not that difficult) to get over the initial learning curve.
Thank you, Netta!
